Neolithic timber circle Goseck, Germany

Information

Description: 
Reconstructed Goseck timber circle (from around 4800 BCE) has two tightly (~4cm) spaced 1st and 2nd palisade rings (~50m and ~60m diameter). The posts have a diameter of 20cm and a height of 2.5 to 3m. The posts are quite straight and have no bark. The balloon pops (the balloon size along the surface from tip to mouth piece was 45cm) and paper bangers (http://www.instructables.com/id/Super-banger/) were used to generate an IR.

This impulse response was recorded when standing beside the paper banger 1m for the 1st palisade (and microphone directed to the 1st palisade). A faint chirp echo is heard in this IR (like at Chichen Itza).
